KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />February 6, 2024 <br />Request to set a Public Hearing for February 20, <br />2024, at 2:00 pm to consider amending Kittitas <br />County Code Chapter 2.04.010. <br />BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) <br />eliminated the Airport Department in 2023, <br />returning the airport responsibilities to Public <br />Works as a division. The BOCC notices meeting <br />times with department directors at Kittitas County <br />Code 2.04.010. The current code references an <br />Airport Study Session with the BOCC on the <br />second Monday of each month. Each month staff is <br />required to notice the Airport Study Session is <br />cancelled. Amending code to remove the Airport <br />Study Session will reflect the adjustment in <br />departments. Study Session items related to the <br />Airport may now be addressed through the Public <br />Works Study Session. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for February 20, 2024, at 2:00 <br />pm to consider amending Kittitas County Code <br />Chapter 2.04.010. <br />HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public <br />Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
