1 <br />2023-09-18 minutes <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 10:00 A.M. SEPTEMBER 18, 2023 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith; and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mark Cook, Public Works/CDS Director, Stephanie Hartung, <br />Chief Civil Deputy, Kate Jimenez, Administrative Assistant <br />SPECIAL MEETING COUNTY NOISE ORDINANCE BOCC <br />Chairman Wright opened a Special meeting at 10:00 a.m. <br />Director Cook discussed proposed revisions to KCC 9.45. Director <br />Cook stated that most Washington counties use numeric noise <br />standards and adopt “exemptions”. <br />Stephanie Hartung will review the Noise Ordinance Update from <br />Public Works/Community Development Services. The report will <br />also be sent to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office for review. <br />The BOCC, Sheriff’s Office, and Prosecutors Office will meet <br />again for review of a proposed revision to KCC 9.45. <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION BOCC <br />At 10:14 a.m. Chairman Wright announced the Board would recess <br />into Executive Session with Stephanie Hartung, Chief Civil <br />Deputy, and Mark Cook, Public Works/CDS Director under RCW <br />42.30.110 (i) To discuss with legal counsel representing the <br />agency matters relating to agency enforcement actions, or to <br />discuss with legal counsel representing the agency litigation or <br />potential litigation to which the agency, the governing body, or <br />a member acting in an official capacity is, or is likely to <br />become, a party, when public knowledge regarding the discussion <br />is likely to result in an adverse legal or financial consequence <br />to the agency, for 5 minutes. No action was anticipated. <br />At 10:19 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. <br />There was no action taken.
