KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: June 6, 2023 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Notice of Call for Sealed Bids for the <br />Manastash Road Creek Bank Stabilization Project, CRP <br />273-16. <br />BACKGROUND: On August 2, 2016, Kittitas County Public Works <br />requested to add a County Road Project, CRP 273-16, for <br />the realignment, and bank stabilization of Manastash Road <br />in the vicinity of milepost 11.0. In February of 2018 <br />Kittitas County Public Works submitted a proposal to the <br />Washington Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) for <br />Manastash Road Washout Repair and was awarded funding <br />in June of 2018. The project scope was reduced to bank <br />stabilization and roadway reconstruction due to right of <br />way issues. The current project is focused on restoring the <br />two full lanes of roadway for public safety. The engineers <br />estimated range for construction is: $760,000.00 to <br />$840,000.00. <br />Call for bids are advertised in the Daily Record, and the <br />Daily Journal of Commerce. <br />Bids are scheduled to be received by I OAM, Thursday, <br />June 29, 2023, and will be opened at the Public Works <br />office. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve a Notice of Call for Sealed Bids for the <br />Manastash Road Creek Bank Stabilization Project, CRP <br />273-16, and direct staff to advertise as requested. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) copy to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Call for Sealed Bids. <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson <br />County Engineer <br />
