KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />November 1, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Approve Resolution authorizing approval of Contract <br />Number 22-62210-008 between the Washington State <br />Department of Commerce and Kittitas County for the <br />Community Development Block Grant Program - Public <br />Services Funding for the period July 1, 2022 through June 30, <br />2023. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> Kittitas County has been awarded the Community <br />Development Block Grant Public Service Funds in the <br />amount of $83,000.00. The Board of County Commissioners <br />previously held a Public Hearing and approved the Grant <br />application materials. HopeSource will be providing public <br />services outlined in the contract materials to low-and <br />moderate-income persons residing in Kittitas County for the <br />period beginning July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. <br /> <br />The Department of Commerce has provided Contract <br />Number 22-62210-008 for the Board of County <br />Commissioners consideration. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutor's office, Dora Van Epps, Fiscal Analyst and <br />Brian Carlson, Budget and Finance Director reviewed and <br />approved the proposed Contract with the Department of <br />Commerce. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve Resolution approving Contract Number 22- <br />62210-008 between the Washington State Department of <br />Commerce and Kittitas County for Community <br />Development Block Grant - Public Service funds <br /> <br />HANDLING: Please return 1 signed copy of the resolution and <br />contract to Dora Van Epps <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution authorizing interagency agreement with <br /> Washington State Department of Commerce <br /> CDBG Contract Number 22-62210-008. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Dora Van Epps, Fiscal Analyst <br />Brian Carlson, Budget and Finance Director
