Receiving <br />this grant would allow our county to employ various fuel reduction <br />activities throughout the county. Criteria for this grant calls for listing <br />the projects in the CWPP the grant would be funding. The amendments <br />to the CWPP would satisfy the required criteria. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Working collaboratively with the Fire Chiefs from Fire Districts 1,3,4,6 <br />and 7, Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue, Snoqualmie Pass Fire and <br />Rescue, Cle Elum Fire, Roslyn Fire, DNR and U.S. Forest Service, we <br />have made changes to the current CWPP. The changes include <br />recognizing high risk areas for fires and identifies fuel reduction projects <br />to help mitigate the impact of wildland fires. All the agencies listed <br />above have unanimously supported the amendments to the CWPP. The <br />original authors of the CWPP, the Kittitas County Conservation District, <br />also supports the amendments to the CWPP. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Pass a resolution, have the chair sign the amended CWPP. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution, CWPP requested amendments, CWPP whole document <br /> <br />REVIEWED BY: Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Doug Mitchell <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Darren Higashiyama, Emergency Management Coordinator <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
