09/08/2022 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />THURSDAY 9:00 A.M. SEPTEMBER 8, 2022 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz (arrived at 9:05 <br />a.m.); Vice-Chair Cory Wright, and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor; Amy McGuffin, <br />CEO Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING CHAMBER QUARTERLY UPDATES COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:00 a.m. Vice-Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to <br />receive a quarterly update from the Kittitas County Chamber ADO. <br /> <br />Amy McGuffin, Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, Executive <br />Director gave a brief ADO update and provided handouts for the Board <br />to review that reviewed the County by numbers for employment, new <br />businesses, labor industry, top employers and in demand skills. She <br />reviewed inquires to the County, the RFI process and projects noting <br />the feedback they get is issues with lack of land size and needing <br />turn-key buildings, and close to railroad. She reviewed funding <br />availability from CERB, SBIF, CBDG-CV and the advocacy work that <br />Chamber is doing. She provided a letter to Governor Jay Inslee in <br />support of Federal Railroad Administration and inquired if the Board <br />would like to sign on.
