BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />2022- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RECOGNITION OF EMPLOYEES OR ELECTED OFFICIALS <br />LEAVING SERVICE WITH KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County employees provide dedicated service to the citizens of the community; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS: It is desirous to recognize these individuals as they leave public service by providing them <br />with a memento of appreciation; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS: said honorarium shall be consistent with limitations established by statute and be <br />predominately of sentimental value. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that employees or Elected Officials leaving service with Kittitas <br />County in good standing and meet the following defined categories, shall be eligible to receive a <br />memento of recognition and appreciation as approved, authorized and budgeted for by the Kittitas County <br />Board of County Commissioners: <br /> <br />Elected Official: Leaving office upon completion of term or retiring from public service through the <br />retirement system. <br /> <br />Retiring Employee: Any employee who has been employed by Kittitas County for at least the last five (5) <br />years of employment and who officially retired from public service through the retirement system. <br /> <br />Separating Employee: Any employee who is separating employment with Kittitas County in good <br />standing after fifteen (15) years or more years of continuous service. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said memento shall have nominal monetary value in keeping with <br />good judgement for the prudent expenditure of public funds. <br /> <br /> Dated this day of , 2022. <br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Cory Wright, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board <br />
