BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />2022- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHAIRPERSON’S SIGNATURE ON OPIOID LITIGATION <br />ALLOCATION AGREEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County and its citizens have been significantly affected by the opioid crisis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: this drug crisis has affected families, our community, our emergency and medical services, <br />and our county budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: national litigation has been multi-faceted, and Kittitas County has been participating in it; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: the opioid distributers are seeking to settle their portion of this litigation and the terms of <br />that settlement are in the best interests of Kittitas County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: to facilitate that settlement, it is necessary that Kittitas County execute the attached <br />Allocation Agreement with exhibits, particularly Exhibit F. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the chairperson is hereby authorized to execute the <br />attached Allocation Agreement as well as Exhibit F attached thereto related to settlement of <br />the opioid litigation involving the opioid distributers. <br /> <br /> Dated this day of , 2022. <br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Cory Wright, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board <br />
