BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />REsoLUiloN No. 2022- l3u <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FUNDING FOR A GRANT FROM THE WASHINGTON <br />ASSOCIATION OF SHERIFFS AND POLTCE CHTEFS (WASPC) By THE WASHINGTON <br />STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, THROUGH THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT OF <br />2021, P.L. 117-2 AND UNDER THE DETECTION & MITIGATION OF COVID.I9IN <br />CONFINEMENT FACILITIES PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Health through the American Rescue <br />Plan Act of 2021, P.L. 117-2 and under the Detection & Mitigation of COVID-19 in Confinement <br />Facilities prolect provides funding to local law enforcement agencies through WASPC (the <br />Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs) to achieve the goals and objectives of the <br />Detention & Mitigation of COVID-19 in Jails Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the funds awarded are designed to support salary, benefits, costs, and <br />contracted services, goods, services, travel, and other essential costs to support the Kittitas County <br />Jail and their detection and mitigation of COVID-19; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of fully executed agreement, WASPC will open reimbursement <br />for allowable expenditures made by Kittitas County Jail. Kittitas County Jail must complete and <br />submit to the WASPC Program Coordinator a WASPC Reimbursement Request Form along with <br />documentationiinvoices for the expenditures during the contract period of April 30,2022 and June <br />30,2023; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED AND lT lS HEREBY ORDERED, that this <br />Agreement between Kittitas County and the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs <br />be adopted. <br />ADOPTED this day of , h*lv5fr"2022 <br />I <br />F COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />, WASHINGTON <br />rssroner <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />??-1-B?a+ <br />Douglas R.
