KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: July 19, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve a Personal Services Agreement <br />between Kittitas County and Phil Backlund for consulting <br />services. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Chairman Laura Osiadacz was tasked to work with Phil <br />Backlund on a Personal Services Agreement for ongoing <br />consultation services on strategic plan development, <br />implementation, and refinement with the Board of County <br />Commissioners and the Management Team. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Personal Services Agreement has been approved by <br />both the Prosecutor’s office (CAMAS #54419), as well as <br />Brian Carlson, Budget & Finance Director. The term of the <br />agreement is from July 1, 2022, through December 31, <br />2022. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Personal Services Agreement between Kittitas <br />County and Phil Backlund in the amount of $2,000 per <br />month for services provided; $1,000 per quarterly <br />workshop; and $2,000 for a one-day Management Team <br />workshop. <br /> <br />HANDLING: 1 - Clerk of the Board <br /> 1 copy – Phil Backlund, Consultant <br /> 1 copy – Brian Carlson, Budget & Finance Director <br /> 1 copy – Prosecutor’s office <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Personal Services Agreement between Kittitas County and <br />Phil Backlund. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Chairman Laura Osiadacz <br /> Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board
