Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners <br />Finance Study Session (Monthly) <br />Tuesday, April 26, 2022 <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Laura Osiadacz, Brett Wachsmith, Cory Wright <br />Management/Staff Present: Jerry Pettit (Auditor), Amy Cziske (Treasurer), <br />Brian Carlson (Budget/Finance Director) <br /> <br />1. Call to Order: <br />Commissioner Osiadacz called the meeting to order at 9am <br /> <br />2. General Discussion re Objectives and Preferences for Ongoing Meetings <br />Mr. Carlson proposed maintaining a regular monthly meeting schedule, and presented an <br />annual calendar of topics reflecting primary recurring budget/finance tasks. He also presented <br />samples of prior reports and proposed revisions to the style and content of future reporting. <br />There were no objections from the Board. <br /> <br />3. Finance Department Orientation and Update <br />Mr. Carlson summarized his first month as County Budget and Finance Director, and discussed a <br />preliminary list of priority tasks and timelines. The discussion covered financial reporting, <br />budget development, staffing, and coordination with Treasurer and other departments. <br /> <br />4. Other Business <br />The group briefly discussed the history and general direction of the Budget/Finance department. <br />No formal actions were taken or proposed. <br /> <br />5. Adjourn <br />Commissioner Osiadacz adjourned the meeting at 10am.
