BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2022-________ <br /> <br />To Declare Equipment Surplus to the County <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.81 provides the procedures to sell or convey County equipment <br />or property that is no longer needed. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.81.050 authorizes the Board of County Commissioners to decide <br />whether County-owned real or personal property is surplus to the needs of the County and whether disposal would be in <br />the best interests of the County and its people; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Kittitas County Ordinance No 2009-04 states the County asset inventory policy that provides for <br />disposal of County assets that are removed from service through surplus, interdepartmental transfer, loss or theft, trade- <br />in, destruction and breakage, scrap and abandonment, and intergovernmental sale and Kittitas County Ordinance No <br />2011-003 Disposition of Firearms; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County has assets that are broken, junked, traded in or sold previously and need to be <br />removed from the Asset Tracking System; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after notice duly given pursuant to Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.81.010 and 2.81060, a public <br />hearing was held for the purpose of declaring the afore-mentioned equipment surplus to the County’s needs pursuant to <br />Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.81.090 and 2.81.060; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That it is in the best interests of the County and its people to <br />declare items shown on the attached list as: <br /> <br />1) IT items to be sold on publicsurplus.com <br />2) Miscellaneous items to be sold on publicsurplus.com <br />3) Items to be removed as clean up of tracked inventory listings <br />4) Public health traded in vehicles 15571 and 15572 previously approved by BOCC on <br />purchase of new vehicles <br />5) Sheriff’s office trade in vehicle 18544-1 previously approved by BOCC on purchase <br />of new vehicle <br />6) Bushmaster 223 AR-15 Retired duty firearm per Ordinance No 2011-003 and <br />resolution No 2017-018 <br /> <br />as surplus to the County’s needs as allowed by Kittitas County Ordinance No 2009-04 and Ordinance No 2011-003 and <br />Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.81 and remove from the County’s Assets. <br /> <br />DATED this _ day of ___ 2022. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> Chairperson <br /> <br /> <br /> Vice-Chairperson <br /> <br /> <br /> Commissioner <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />___________________________________________________ <br />CLERK OF THE BOARD/DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD
