Public Health Study Session <br />February 23, 2022 <br />10:00 am <br />In-Person/Webex <br /> <br />Attendees <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Brett Wachsmith, Cory Wright, Erin Moore, Chelsey Loeffers, Tristen Lamb, Jesse Cox <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Brett Wachsmith motioned to approve the January 26, 2022, public health study session meeting <br />minutes. Cory Wright seconded. The January 26, 2022, public health study session meeting minutes <br />approved. <br />Department Business <br /> Director Tristen Lamb discussed the following department business: <br />• The new BOH member onboard process review <br />• Staff public speaking training – PRES outline <br />Chelsey Loeffers discussed the incoming Director training plan that she and Ms. Lamb have been <br />working on and asked if there was anything the BOCC wished to include. <br />There was discussion about the public speaking training and the Director training plan. <br />Other Business <br />Commissioner Cory Wright requested the BOCC and staff recess into executive session. The executive <br />session convened at 10:32 am. <br />RCW 42.30.110 g: To evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the <br />performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing <br />body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within the agency <br />shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to take final action hiring, <br />setting the salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an <br />employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the public. <br />The BOCC reconvened out of Executive Session 10:43 am.
