KITTITAS COUNTY <br />AIRPORT DEPARTMENT <br />MAY 3, 2022 AGENDA <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: 05/3/2022 AGENDA SESSION <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION <br />ACKNOWLEDGING AND ADOPTING THE BOWERS <br />FIELD STRATEGIC PLAN <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Ken Grannan, Airport Director <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: In 2021 Bowers Field underwent a Strategic Plan. The plan <br />was administered by AMCG Consultants and had a steering <br />committee of community members to provide input. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: The completion of the Strategic Plan included the Mission, <br />Vision, and Goals for the next few years at Bowers Field. <br />It also established the action plan for achieving these goals. <br /> <br /> A. Mission Statement <br />The mission of the Kittitas County Airport (Bowers Field) <br />is to operate and develop the Airport and Industrial Park in <br />a safe and efficient manner to encourage the availability of <br />high-quality aviation and non-aviation products, services, <br />and facilities; support professional aviation education <br />programs; enhance the economic benefit for the County; <br />and support local and regional emergency preparedness. <br /> <br /> B. Vision Statement <br />The vision of the Kittitas County Airport (Bowers Field) is <br />to be the leading Central Washington regional general <br />aviation airport that is a vital and self-sufficient center of <br />air transportation and economic activity. <br /> <br />GOAL <br />1 <br />Increase the capital investment in revenue <br />generating assets at the Airport by forty <br />percent (40%) by the end of 2024 <br />GOAL <br />2 <br />Secure the development and/or operation of <br />new aeronautical and aerospace <br />products, services, and facilities by 2024 <br />GOAL <br />3 <br />Increase the economic impact of the Airport on <br />the community by twenty percent <br />(20%) by the end of 2024
