KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2022 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 3, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Authorize a Solicitation for Engineering <br />Services for a Feasibility Study Supporting the Widening of <br />Interstate 90 from Easton to Cle Elum, WA <br />BACKGROUND: For the past several years, Kittitas County has struggled <br />with Interstate 90 (I-90) bypassing traffic onto local roads <br />during I-90 closures and slowdowns. Public Works has <br />placed this proposed feasibility study on the State <br />Transportation Improvement Plan. It is now time to secure <br />consultant support delivering the requested feasibility <br />study. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the solicitation for engineering services <br />supporting the feasibility study widening I-90 from Easton <br />to Cle Elum, Washington. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Advertisement; Statement of Qualifications. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
