<br /> <br />BEFORE THE BOARD OF KITTITAS COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />Resolution No. 22-______ <br /> <br />A Resolution Authorizing Placing the Increase of the Real Estate Excise Tax on the November Ballot. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, RCW 82.46.035 provides for an additional real estate excise tax of one quarter of one percent <br />that a Board of County Commissioner may impose; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after due notice, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners met at 2:00 p.m. on <br />September 21, 2021 to consider the matter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners voted to place the question of raising the real <br />estate excise tax from the current rate of half of one percent to three quarters of one percent to a vote of the <br />people on the 2022 general election ballot. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners hereby directs that the <br />question of whether or not to increase the real estate excise tax by one quarter of one percent tax be placed <br />before the county voters in the next general election, and hereby approves the following ballot title: <br /> <br />PROPOSITION NO. 1 <br />KITTITAS COUNTY REAL ESTATE EXCISE TAX INCREASE <br /> <br />Should the Board of County Commissioners raise the excise tax on the sale of real property in unincorporated <br />Kittitas County by one quarter of one percent from the current one quarter of one percent to half of one <br />percent? <br /> <br />Should this proposition be: Approved Rejected <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Passed by the Board of Kittitas County Commissioners meeting in regular session at Ellensburg, Washington <br />the ____ day of ___________________, 2022. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Attest: Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Clerk of the Board Commissioner
