<br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />NO.: 2021-___ <br />Authorization to Execute T-Hanger Leases and Terminating Month-to-Month <br />Tenancies <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County owns and rents out property at its Bowers Field Airport; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, having such leases maximizes the benefit to the county taxpayers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, T-Hanger leases have been on a month-to-month basis and the County <br />desires that these become annual leases under the terms of the attached <br />leases; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, various tenants desire to rent such property under the terms of the <br />respective attached lease, and after notice and hearing, the BOCC finds <br />that execution of such leases is in the public’s best interest; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, tenancies where the tenant has been unwilling to enter into annual leases <br />such as those above mentioned have been found by the BOCC, after notice <br />and hearing, to not be in the public interest. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners authorizes the execution of the attached T-Hanger <br />leases for property at the Bowers Field Airport. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: <br /> <br />Month-to-month T-Hanger leases are hereby terminated, and the airport director is hereby <br />directed to give 30-days’ notice of such to any T-Hanger tenants who have not executed <br />one-year leases. The Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is hereby authorized to commence <br />eviction proceedings against those tenants who have not been willing to execute one-year <br />leases for T-Hangers and remain in possession 30 days after receiving said notice. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this day of 2021. <br /> <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />
