01/18/2022 MINUTES 1 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON AUDITORIUM/WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. JANUARY 18, 2022 Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor; Carly Brettmann, Communications Director; Neil Caulkins, Deputy Prosecutor; and Ken Grannan, Airport Director. Per Governor Inslee’s Proclamation 20-28 et seq., the public was encouraged to join the meeting virtually or in person. PUBLIC HEARING RATES & FEES BOWERS FIELD AIRPORT AIRPORT At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider the 2022 Rates and Fees for Bowers Field Airport. KEN GRANNAN, AIRPORT DIRECTOR, reviewed the proposed rates and fees for Bowers Field Airport. He said the rates and fees would standardize all rates at the Airport and would bring it one step closer to being financial solvent. The proposal would increase the T-Hangar rental rates, redefines “Access Fees”, and allows for tenants to opt out of land maintenance while allowing the County to generate revenue through the upkeep of the Airport Grounds. He indicated the Airport Advisory Committee has approved the proposed rates and fees. NEIL CAULKINS, DEPUTY PROSECUTOR did not have any issues with the proposed rates and fees. THERE BEING NO PUBLIC IN ATTENDANCE, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. RESOLUTION 2022-010 RATES & FEES BOWERS FIELD AIRPORT AIRPORT VICE-CHAIRMAN moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-010, Setting Rates and Fees at Bowers Field Airport and Industrial Area. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
