JANUARY 4, 2022 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, <br />Administrative Supervisor; Steve Panattoni, Jail Superintendent; Patti <br />Stacey, Solid Waste Director/Interim Maintenance Director/Project <br />Manager; Taylor Crouch, Administrative Assistant; Ken Grannan, Airport <br />Director; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Josh Fredrickson, Engineer; Amy Cziske, <br />Treasurer; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Carly Brettmann, Communications <br />Director; Neil Caulkins, Deputy Prosecutor; Doug Mitchell, Deputy <br />Prosecutor; Kristine Foreman, Human Resource Director; and 2 members of <br />the public. <br /> <br />Per Governor Inslee’s Proclamation 20-28 et seq., the public was <br />encouraged to join the meeting virtually or in person. <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith called the meeting to order. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE <br />Commissioner Wachsmith led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />At 10:04 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz announced the Board would recess into <br />Executive Session for 5 minutes to evaluate the qualifications of an <br />applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a public <br />employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a <br />governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of employment to <br />be generally applied within the agency shall occur in a meeting open to <br />the public, and when a governing body elects to take final action <br />hiring, setting the salary of an individual employee or class of <br />employees, or discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall <br />be taken in a meeting open to the public. No action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 10:09 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No action <br />was taken.
