KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2022 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: January 4, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Award the Distressed <br />County Sales and Use Tax Funding for 2022 and Direct <br />Staff Prepare Public Facility Grant Agreements for 2022 <br />Award Recipients <br />BACKGROUND: The Council of Governments (COG) met on December 15, <br />2021, to review 2022 Public Facility Grant applications for <br />ongoing projects. After reviewing the six (6) applications <br />received COG is recommending the following applicants <br />for 2022 funding amounts while preserving approximately <br />$500,000 for 2023 implementation of the financial plan <br />being prepared by Strategies: Ellensburg Business <br />Development Authority dba CenterFuse ($72,000), Kittitas <br />County Chamber of Commerce ($92,000), City of Cle <br />Elum ($262,500) and the City of Roslyn ($262,500). <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to Approve and Sign the Resolution to Award the <br />Distressed County Sales and Use Tax Funding for 2022 as <br />recommended by the Conference of Governments and <br />direct staff prepare Public Facility Grant Agreements for <br />2022 Award Recipients. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Letter of Recommendation. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
