Kittitas County <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br />Agenda Date: <br />December 21, 2021 <br /> <br />Action Requested: <br />Request to Approve Amendment A to Contract 21-07 between Kittitas County and the Cle Elum Police <br />Department for the Law & Justice Grant for 2021 Grant Period <br /> <br />Background: <br />The original contract awarding Grant 21-07 to Cle Elum Police Department as approve by <br />Resolution 2021-048 and signed by the Board of County Commissioners on June 15, 2021, with <br />an effective date of April 7th, 2021. <br /> <br />There was conflicting information between the applications and the award letters; the application <br />stated funds would be effective January 1, 2021, and the Resolution stated the funds will be <br />available on the signing date of April 7, 2021. The City of Cle Elum Police Department had <br />purchased items for this grant prior to April 7, 2021. The Law & Justice Council met on <br />September 15, 2021 and agreed to allow the City of Cle Elum Police Department have a contract <br />amendment with the effective date of January 1, 2021. <br /> <br />This amendment is changing the effective date to January 1, 2021. <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Recommend the Board approve Amendment A to Contract 21-07 between Kittitas County and the Cle <br />Elum Police Department for the Law & Justice Grant for 2021 Grant Period <br /> <br /> <br />Handling <br /> Requesting Commissioners office please send to City of Cle Elum to get signature <br /> <br />Lead Staff <br />Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager <br />
