Ruby St., Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />CDS@CO.KITTITAS.WA.US <br />Office (509) 962-7506 <br /> <br /> <br />“Building Partnerships – Building Communities” <br /> <br />BOCC AGENDA SESSION <br />STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />BOCC AGENDA SESSION DATE: December 21, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: BOCC Signature of mylar granting final approval for the Akehurst Plat (LPF-21- <br />00009 & LP-08-00033) <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Akehurst Preliminary Plat was approved on September 15, 2009 through <br />Ordinance No. 2009-020 (LP-08-00033 and RZ-08-00012). This proposal is for <br />twelve (12) lots on three (3) parcels (784434, 954945, and 954946). The subject <br />property is currently zoned Agriculture 20 but was approved as Agriculture 5 as part <br />of Ordinance No. 2009-020 for this plat. The property is located east of Wilson Creek <br />Road, west of Naneum Road, south of Willow Lane, off of the north side of Brick <br />Mill Road. It is in a portion of Section 20 T18N, R19E, WM in Kittitas County. <br />Assessor’s map numbers 18-19-20020-0006, 18-19-20054-0001 and 18-19-20054- <br />0002 <br /> <br />A final plat application was submitted by Levi Venn, Authorized agent for Donald <br />Akehurst, on August 24, 2021 requesting final mylar approval for the Akehurst plat. <br />Due to necessary changes, the final mylars were returned and then resubmitted on <br />November 18, 2021. Staff has reviewed the final mylar with supporting <br />documentation and finds that it is consistent with the preliminary approval <br />documents for this phase. Additionally, final plat review has been processed in <br />conformance with Kittitas County Code Title 16. The mylar has been reviewed by <br />all reviewing departments, and all signatures have been obtained. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Board of Commissioners, Community Development Services, Public Works, Public <br />Health, and Assessor’s Office <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Signature of the BOCC Chair on the mylar for final plat approval of the Akehurst <br />Plat (LP-08-00033 and RZ-08-00012). <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return signed mylar to staff for transmittal to owner and/or authorized agent for <br />Treasurer signature and recording. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Final mylar for the Akehurst Plat (LP-08-00033 and RZ-08-00012). <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Jeremiah Cromie, Community Development Staff Planner
