KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: December 21, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve the 2022 Payment Agreement (attachment “C” to <br />the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the Kittitas County EMS <br />& Trauma Care Council) and the annual Resolution. The term of this <br />agreement will be from January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Attachment “C”, Payment Agreement, is an original part of the <br />Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the Kittitas County EMS & <br />Trauma Care Council (EMS Council) that was entered into December <br />26, 1995. The Attachment “C” is the only portion of the agreement <br />renewed annually. An annual Resolution is also renewed. The <br />Payment Agreement reflects the Proposed 2022 Budget Plan <br />recommended by the EMS Council on June 10, 2021, for the <br />operation of the Kittitas County EMS Division, amended July 28, <br />2021, and sent out to all participating jurisdictions in late July. The <br />Proposed 2021 Budget Plan was presented at the November 17, 2021, <br />KCCOG meeting by the EMS Coordinator, as required per Interlocal <br />Cooperation Agreement. The 2022 Budget Plan was recommended by <br />KCCOG as presented with a review of the 2020 Census Population <br />Distribution when available. The 11/30/21 OFM revised population <br />numbers are reflected in the Payment Agreement. The budget plan <br />reflects an 8 % budget increase for 2022. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutors Office has been requested to review the annual <br />Resolution and Payment Agreement. The only change to the Payment <br />Agreement annually is to the budget amount to be paid by each <br />participating jurisdiction.
