2021-05-10 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />AIRPORT STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, WEBEX <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />MONDAY 11:00 AM May 10, 2021 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner Laura Osiadacz and <br />Commissioner Cory Wright <br />Others: <br />Meeting Call to Order: Chair Brett Wachsmith 11:00AM <br />NEW EMPLOYEE INTRODUCTIONS <br />2 new employees – David Welz, Admin Asst. & Alan Lindemoen, Ops Tech. <br />AIRPORT LEASE POLICY FINAL REVIEW AND UPDATE <br />Director Grannan reports item – Section 7.4.1 – 10% rental fee on subleases, has now been <br />removed after discussions with the Airport Advisory Committee. <br />MAINTENANCE FUEL STORAGE <br />Director Grannan reported the Airport now has 4 pieces of equipment that will require diesel fuel <br />and the lack of an easily accessible fueling point. The Airport is considering installing a fuel <br />storage/fueling point on the Airport property. Commissioner Wright inquired about adding a fuel <br />storage tank to the Operations Vehicle, Director Grannan stated he currently exploring that <br />option as well. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN, GOALS, AND OBJECTIVES <br />Director Grannan stated the Strategic Planning Committee has been working with ACMG to <br />develop a strategic plan, goals, and objectives. Developed final objectives for each of the stated <br />goals. Minimum Standards document will be presented to the AAC at the next upcoming <br />meeting, as well as the design standards document. Prosecutor Caulkins has prepared a draft <br />lease document incorporating the Minimum Standards and Design Standards. Director Grannan <br />further stated the timeline associated with the goals is still in development and should be ready <br />for approval/discussion at the next Study Session. <br />Commissioner Wright expressed his desire for the Airport to increase revenues as soon as <br />feasible, without creating the illusion that after several years with out a positive revenue flow, <br />the airport will immediately become profitable. <br />
