KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: August 3, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge an Agreement between The Seattle <br />Police Department and The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office to reimburse the cost of <br />purchasing software for ICAC investigations. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The SPD agrees to reimburse the cost of purchasing software for <br />ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) investigations. This purchase will enhance the <br />KCSO’s ability to investigate crimes within the county involving the exploitation and <br />abuse of children online. The KCSO may reapply each year for reimbursement of the <br />annual renewal cost of $10,000. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: This Agreement was reviewed and approved by the Kittitas County <br />Prosecutor’s Office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION Request to Acknowledge an Agreement between The Seattle <br />Police Department and The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office to reimburse the cost of <br />purchasing software for ICAC investigations. <br /> <br />HANDLING: No Handling. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Chief Deputy Higashiyama
