KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />July 6, 2021 <br />Request to set a Public Hearing for July 20, 2021 ai <br />2:00 pm to consider a speed reduction on Faust <br />Road between milepost 0.59 and milepost 0.79 and <br />amend Kittitas County Code Chapter 10.08 Speed <br />Limits on County Roads. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works <br />received a request from a resident to conduct a <br />speed study and consider a reduction of posted <br />speed from 50 MPH to 35 MPH on Faust Road <br />from the Bridge over Town Ditch (bridge Number <br />88212) to a point 0.20 miles north (milepost 0.59 to <br />milepost 0.79). The speed study was conducted, <br />and Public Works is now requesting to set a Public <br />Hearing to receive public testimony and discuss the <br />results of said study. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for July 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm to <br />consider a speed reduction on Faust Road from <br />milepost 0.59 to milepost 0.79 and amend Kittitas <br />County Code Chapter 10.08 Speed Limits on <br />County Roads. <br />HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public <br />Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
