KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: June 15, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Professional Services Agreement <br />Between Kittitas County and Kittitas County Health Network. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Health Network will provide Medication Assisted <br />Treatment (MAT), Substance Use Disorder (SUD) counseling and treatment services, and <br />mental health counseling to individuals both while they are in the Kittitas County Jail as <br />well as upon release. KCHN staff will lead this work through administration of <br />subcontracts, tracking and reporting of data related to performance and outcomes, <br />convening the services providers for continuous quality improvement efforts, and <br />supporting post-release care coordination efforts. MAT services for individuals in the jail <br />and upon release will be jointly provided by Comprehensive Healthcare, Community <br />Health of Central Washington, and Kittitas Valley Healthcare. Merit Resource Services <br />will provide SUD assessments, counseling, peer support services for discharge planning <br />and post-release care coordination, and post-release treatment services. HopeSource will <br />work closely with the Hub and Spoke program staff, the peer support specialist, and <br />KCHN care coordinators to provide support in addressing social determinants of health <br />including but not limited to housing, transportation and work training during discharge <br />planning and post-release. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve the Professional Services Agreement <br />Between Kittitas County and Kittitas County Health Network. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one fully executed original to the Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff
