KITTITAS COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONER’S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: July 6, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Set a Public Hearing for July 20, 2021 amending Kittitas <br />County Code Chapter 2.04.010. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Board has determined that with multiple Department Head <br />Study Sessions; opportunities for Special Meetings; and the fact <br />that Monday morning 10-minute meetings were generally never <br />ten minutes (and typically running over) they would like to <br />eliminate those and the Agenda Study Session. The reason for <br />eliminating the Monday Agenda Study Session is to have all of the <br />Agenda items discussed where the meeting is recorded and live <br />streamed to allow for the public to listen to the discussion. <br /> <br /> The Sheriff’s Office reached out, and stated that they would like to <br />change the name of the Law & Justice Study Session to the <br />Sheriff’s Study Session. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Staff met with the Board to discuss options and was directed to set <br />a Public Hearing to remove the Monday Agenda Study Session and <br />Monday Department Head Meetings from County Code. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for July 20, 2021 to consider <br />amending KCC 2.04.010. <br /> <br />HANDLING: 1 - Clerk of the Board <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Legal Notice <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor <br /> <br /> <br />
