BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND WA STATE PARKS AND <br />RECREATION COMMISSION FOR BOATING SAFETY <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of this agreement is to establish a cooperative framework <br />between Washington State Parks and Kittitas County to enhance the performance of <br />boating safety and education services in the state per RCW 88.02.650 and WAC 352- <br />65.010, and provide financial assistance for such services; and <br />WHEREAS, the term of this agreement, once signed by Washington State Parks, <br />shall end on September 30 of the current calendar year; and <br />WHEREAS The County desires to provide the services and make use of the <br />financial support to do so; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED AND lT lS HEREBY ORDERED, that this <br />Agreement between Kittitas County Sheriffls Office and Washington State Parks and <br />Recreation Commission shall be filed or posted in accordance with RCW 39.34.040. <br />ADOPTED this L&h <br />.L+L <br />ATTES <br />CLERK OF THE BOARD <br />,FClerkof the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />n Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy <br />2021 <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />C GTON <br />Vice-Chair <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />AS TO FORM:fzL <br />o <br />of <br />D.R.M <br />Buchholz <br />ell, Deputy <br />'t <br />ing Attorney
