a ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT FOR KITTITAS COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT INDIGENT DEFENSE SERVICES (2021\ This Addendum is entered into by and between the County of Kittitas (County) and the SuperiorCourt of Washington in and for Kittitas County and candy K. powers (Contracting Attomey,wsBA #06705)' All prior provisions and terms of the originat Agreement for Kittitas countySuperior Court Indigent Defense Services for 2021remain in full force and effect with theexceptions to paragraph 10, 11, and 12 which are amended as follows: 10' Term of Agreement. Provision of services pursuant to this Agreement shall commenceMarch 7' 202'l' and terminate on December 3l,z)zl,unless this Agreement is terminated earlierpursuant to the provisions of Paragraph 18, and the contracting Attomey shall provide service toall defendants referred herein in accordance with the terms of this Agreement until representationof such defendant is complete, as provided in Paragraph 1 of this Agreement. This Agreementshall apply to all referrals made through December 3l,z}2L,unless the contract is terminatedearlier' in which case the contract shall apply to all referrals made until 5:00 p.m. on the date oftermination of the contract. 11' Scopeof Work. overthecourseof thiscontracttheContractingAttomey (andany associated or employed counsel) shall handle a caseload of up to, but no more than 130 felonycases' or an average number of 10.83, plus 21 juvenile offender cases in that period, an averageof 2.L per month. 12- compensation. The contracting Attorney shall be paid as follows: The sum of one hundred twenty-seven thousand three hundred ninety-six dollars ($127,396) peryear paid in equal monthly installments on the second Monday of the month. Jury Trial: shall be paid an additional $375 per diem for jury trial. The contracting Attorneyshall provide invoices to the court Administrator for all trial per diem pay. Those invoices willbe provided within 30 days of the last day of trial.
