04/05/21 MINUTES 1
COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING
MONDAY 10:00 A.M. APRIL 5, 2021
Board members present via Webex: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-
Chairman Laura Osiadacz (via phone); and Commissioner Cory Wright.

Others via Webex: Taylor Crouch, Administrative Assistant; Ken
Grannan, Airport Director; Kristi More, The Ferguson Group; and 1
member of the public. SPECIAL MEETING FEDERAL APPROPRIATIONS COMMISSIONERS
At 10:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to have a
discussion on Kittitas County’s Infrastructure Priorities and the
Federal Appropriation process.

Kristi More, The Ferguson Group discussed some of the Federal budget
steps with the new Administration and changes that would allow some
local projects to apply for funding. There are multiple processes in
play this year.

There was discussion on the projects in the County that would fit in
the new budget proposal. Before the Board had grouped projects for
the Airport and KVEC together, they discussed top priorities now
that projects had to be stand alone. The Runway and the Grandstand
projects stood out.

Ms. More advised that the I-90, new Courthouse, and the Sheriff’s
Station would not be good projects for this process currently. She
advised that shovel-ready projects would be given a higher priority
rating. This included the Transfer Station, the Runway, Grandstands
and Bloom Pavilion. A final letter will be drafted and presented for
Board approval on the April 12, Office Admin. Meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

Taylor Crouch Brett Wachsmith, Chairman
