Consider adoption of attached ordinance as presented. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On February 2nd, 2021 the Board of County Commissioners set a public hearing for March 2nd, 2021 to consider <br />changes to KCC Chapter 14 Building Code, Chapter 18 Code Enforcement and Chapter 20 Fire and Life Safety <br />and to adopt the new 2018 International Codes with Washington State Amendments. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />The Central Washington Home Builders were notified of the hearing date. Public notices were published in the <br />Daily Record and Northern Kittitas County Tribune as well as KCBOCC and KCCDS web pages. KCPOA has <br />reviewed. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Attachment A: Proposed Changes to KCC Chapter 14 Building Codes. <br />Attachment B: Proposed Changes to KCC Chapter 18 Code Enforcement. <br />Attachment C: Proposed Changes to KCC Chapter 20 Fire and Life Safety. <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />CDS Building Official recommends the Board of County Commissioners approve the proposed change to KCC 14, <br />18 and 20 for adoption of the 2018 ICC Codes with Washington State Amendments. The Building Official also <br />recommends adoption of the attached ordinance as presented. <br /> <br />HANLDING: <br />BOCC, KCCDS, KCFM, and KCPAO to receive copies. <br /> <br />RESPONSIBLE STAFF: <br />Mike Flory, Building Official <br />
