KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 2nd, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Letter of Permission and Support to <br />the Kittitas County Historical Society for work in the <br />Ellensburg Cemetery. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Sadie Thayer reached out to the County for permission to <br />update 3 gravesites of Civil War Veterans in Block D-148 <br />of the Ellensburg IOOF cemetery. The County found the <br />deed to the gravesites and drafted a letter of support for the <br />project being conducted by the Historical Society. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Auditor’s Office located the Deed to the gravesites, <br />certifying County ownership. Sadie requested permission <br />and support from the County which is required from IOOF <br />for the work to be completed.
