Following is the DRAFT Mission Statement for the Airport.
The Mission of Kittitas County Airport (Bowers Field) is: To operate and develop the
Airport and Industrial Park in a safe and efficient manner to encourage the availability of
high-quality aviation and non-aviation products, services, and facilities; support
professional aviation education programs; enhance the economic benefit for the County;
and support local and regional emergency preparedness.
A vision statement should articulate aspirations for the Airport (e.g., picture of success).
Following is the DRAFT Vision Statement for the Airport.
The Vision for the Kittitas County Airport (Bowers Field) is: To be the leading Central
Washington regional general aviation airport that is a vital and self-sufficient center of air
transportation and economic activity.
The development of the DRAFT Mission and Vision Statements by the Committee
followed the review of an Airport and Market Assessment; identification of the Airport’s
strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats; and a brainstorming and prioritization
session to identify desired elements of the DRAFT Mission and Vision Statements.
Following your concurrence of the DRAFT Mission and Vision Statements, the Committee
will develop goals for the Airport. Each goal is a statement of a desired result, outcome, or
level of attainment that needs to be reached to realize the mission and vision of the Airport.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the DRAFT Mission and Vision
Statements, please feel free to contact me at 303.792.5203 or jkohlman@amcg.aero.
Sincerely,

Jeff A.
