02/01/21 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING <br /> MONDAY 2:00 P.M. FEBRUARY 1, 2021 <br />Board members present via Webex: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice- <br />Chairman Laura Osiadacz; and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others via Webex: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mark Cook, <br />Public Works Director; Jerry Pettit, Auditor and Kristi More from <br />The Ferguson Group. SPECIAL MEETING THE FERGUSON GROUP COMMISSIONERS <br />At 2:00 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to receive <br />an update from The Ferguson Group and to consider a Federal <br />Legislative Platform. <br /> <br />Kristi More, The Ferguson Group, presented a draft 2021 Federal <br />Legislative Platform. She reviewed information including the Federal <br />priorities, Coronavirus Pandemic, Public Safety, Natural Resources, <br />Infrastructure, and Community Support & Economic Development. She <br />felt with the changes in Congress and the new Administration, the <br />platform will be very useful. The Board recommended some edits and <br />asked Ms. More to make those changes and send it back to the Board <br />for their review. The Board will then place it on the next Agenda <br />for consideration and action. <br /> DISCUSSION THOMPSON PARK AUDITOR <br />Jerry Pettit, Auditor said he previously sent a proposed sign to <br />place at the entrance to Thompson Park. He said personnel at KVFR <br />has offered to create and place it without any charge. He wanted to <br />ensure there were no issues and requested support from the Board. <br /> <br />The Board unanimously supported the design and placement of the sign <br />as long as Deputy Thompson’s family approves of it. They also asked <br />that Mr. Pettit work with Mark Cook, Public Works Director, to <br />ensure any future projects fit in with the plan as well. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned 2:53 p.m. <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> Julie Kjorsvik Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />
