KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, WEBEX <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM December 28, 2020 <br />Board members present via WebEx: Chairman Brett Wachsmith and <br />Commissioner Cory Wright. <br />Others via WebEx: Mike Flory, Pat Nicholson, and Jessica Miller <br />Community Development Services; Mark Cook, Arden Thomas, Nicole <br />Ogan and Candie Leader, Public Works; and three members of the <br />public. <br />At 2:05 pm Chairman Brett Wachsmith opened the Community <br />Development Services Study Session. <br />2018 CODE CYCLE UPDATE <br />CDS Building Official Mike Flory presented the 2018 Code Cycle <br />update for the 2018 International Code updates with the <br />Washington State amendments. Due to COVID, the new cycle <br />adoption date was extended and will occur on February 1, 2021. <br />The biggest impacts we are going to see financially to builders <br />is in the energy and mechanical codes. Fire Marshal Pat <br />Nicholson presented proposed amendment changes to Chapter 14.04 <br />of the Building Code.
