KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 15, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge the Facility Agreement between <br />Kittitas County and Numi Financial. <br />BACKGROUND: This agreement is between Kittitas County and Numi Financial, <br />who we have an existing agreement with. The new agreement brings things current with <br />both policy and administration changes on both ends. Numi Financial offers a debit card <br />program by which inmates may receive the funds remaining on their commissary account <br />at the time of their release, avoiding the liability of the Kittitas County Jail having to <br />account for a cash drawer, or the inmate having to find somewhere to cash a check — <br />possibly in the middle of the night — in order to get home. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Acknowledge the Facility Agreement between <br />Kittitas County and Numi Financial. <br />HANDLING: No handling. <br />LEAD STAFF: Superintendent Steve Panattoni <br />
