BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO.2020- <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS: The county has recently hired an Director of Airport Operations; and <br />WHEREAS: the Airport Advisory Committee must be reconfigured and re-organized <br />accordingly. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Airport Advisory Committee is hereby <br />amended as follows: <br />1. The makeup of the Airport Advisory Committee shall be seven (7) members which may <br />include representatives from the County, the City of Ellensburg, those with an interest in <br />economic development, Agricultural or Hanger lessee or Pilot Representative, and <br />airport/business park tenants. <br />2. The Airport Advisory Committee shall make recommendations to the Director of Airport <br />Operations who shall attend all Airport Advisory Committee meetings but have no voting <br />role. <br />3. The Airport Advisory Committee shall choose/elect its own chairman who shall run the <br />committee's meetings. <br />4. The Airport Advisory Committee shall have two subcommittees: the Airside Pilot/Safety <br />subcommittee and the Business Park/Marketing subcommittee. A subset of the Airport <br />Advisory Committee and other community members would serve on these <br />subcommittees as to be determined appropriate by the Airport Advisory Committee. <br />These subcommittees shall not meet regularly,but on an as-needed basis. These <br />subcommittees shall be chaired by a regular member of the Airport Advisory Committee. <br />5. When decisions regarding the airport need Board of County Commissioner(BOCC) <br />approval, those matters shall be brought to the BOCC on an agenda session by the <br />Director of Airport Operations who shall also relay the Airport Advisory Committee's <br />recommendation on the subject(if one exists) to the BOCC. <br />6. The charter of the Airport Advisory Committee is hereby amended to provide as found in <br />Attachment"A"to this resolution which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br />this reference. <br />7. The Airport Advisory Committee is hereby directed to amend its bylaws to provide <br />substantially as found in Exhibit`B"to this resolution which is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by this reference. <br />DATED this day of 2020,at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />A RESOLUTION SUSPENDING THE AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
