KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: November 3, 2020 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve Contract Amendment with ALSC Architects. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County has been working with ALSC Architects to design <br />an addition and upgrades to Bloom Pavilion in accordance with the Event Center Master <br />Plan. During the preliminary design it was determined that it would be necessary to <br />remove the Swine barn the Colockum building and to relocate the Wash Rack in order to <br />add on to Bloom Pavilion. <br /> <br />Kittitas County Event Center staff was able to secure funding from a Department of <br />Commerce grant that will cover the cost of this phase of the project. Each of these small <br />steps is helping the facility to work towards the goals set in the Master plan. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Solid Waste Department and the Prosecutor’s Office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Boards approval for the Chair to sign the <br />Amendment to ALSC Architects Professional Service agreement. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return to Solid Waste. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Amendment letter <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director. <br />
