KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: November 3, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to set a Public Hearing for November 17, <br />2020 at 2:00 pm to consider a speed reduction on <br />Thrall Road between No. 6 Road and Moe Road <br />and amend Kittitas County Code Section 10.08.020 <br />Speed Limits. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works <br />received a request from a resident to conduct a <br />speed study and consider a reduction of posted <br />speed from 50 MPH to 35 MPH on Thrall Road <br />between No. 6 Road and Moe Road (milepost 0.05 <br />to milepost 1.10). The speed study was conducted, <br />and Public Works is now requesting to set a Public <br />Hearing to receive public testimony and discuss the <br />results of said study. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for November 17, 2020 at 2:00 <br />Inn to consider a speed reduction on Thrall Road <br />from milepost 0.05 to milepost 1.10 and amend <br />Kittitas County Code Section 10.08.020 Speed <br />Limits. <br />HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public <br />Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
