2020-09-08 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING <br /> TUESDAY 1:00 P.M. SEPTEMBER 8, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chairman, Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz & Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Judy Pless, Budget & <br />Finance Manager; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Patti Johnson, Solid <br />Waste Director/Interim Maintenance Director/Project Manager; Amy <br />Cziske, Treasurer; Jim Goeben, IT Director; Steve Panattoni, <br />Jail Superintendent; Mike Flory, Building Official, and 1 member <br />of the public. SPECIAL MEETING FEMA & CARES ACT FUNDING COMMISSIONERS <br />At 1:00 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to <br />discuss COVID-19 FEMA and CARES Act funding. <br /> <br />Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager explained how she has been <br />working with the Department of Military in trying to determine <br />FEMA reimbursement funding and what expenses could be reimbursed <br />through them versus CARES Act funding. She said as of August 25, <br />2020, there had been $2,500,850.00 awarded to Kittitas County in <br />CARES Act funding. She reviewed the current requests for <br />expenditures and the Board indicated they would be in favor of <br />the requests, with the exception of the jail, until there’s been <br />clarification obtained on what could be reimbursed by FEMA <br />versus CARES Act funding. <br /> <br />Several departments reviewed their requests for funding relating <br />to COVID-19. The following department’s need to come back and <br />present their information to the Board at a later date: Coroner, <br />Event Center, CDS (for their additional request of a <br />plotter/scanner) and Public Works. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 1:35 p.m. <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> Julie Kjorsvik Brett Wachsmith, Chairman
