Page 1 of3 <br />Public Notice <br />Kittitas County, Ellensburg WA <br />REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS SUPPORTING DESIGN, AND ENVIRONMENTAL <br />PERMITTING FOR PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE ON NORTH THORP HIGHWAY-YAKIMA RIVER BRIDGE <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WA <br />All submittals received after 10:00am Local Time, on November 12,2020,wil1be discarded <br />PURPOSE: <br />The existing bridge (no. 97341) along North Thorp Highway spanning the Yakima River requires preventative maintenance <br />to extend flre life of the fracture critical members. Existing paint system failure and truss portal member damaged by traffic <br />impacts are suspected as the damage causing agent. Additionally, the bridge corurection joint to pavement require <br />replacement <br />SCOPE OF'PROJECT: <br />The work to be performed by the consultant consists of preparing preliminary engineering including but not limited to <br />planning, project management, structural engineering, traffic engineering, 100olo design plans, specifications and estimate <br />package, for the rehabilitation and maintenance of tlre structure described, and environmental planning and pennitting <br />required for the project to be advertised for construction. <br />PROCEDURIS FOR SUBMITTAL: <br />If you wish to be considered for work under this SOQ, submit a sealed envelope to Kiftitas County Public Works, at 4l I N. <br />Ruby St. Suite 1, Ellensburg WA 98926 by 10:00 am local time on November 12,2020. Submittals shall include a one- <br />page cover letter with the firm name and contact information. Submittals shall also include five copies of your Statement of <br />Qualifications describing the firm's or team's ability to professionally provide the requested services. Address submittals: <br />North Thorp Highway-Yakima River Bridge. <br />Foryour records, Kittitas County will provide a confirmation email to the contacts provided in the submittal confirming <br />receipt of your interest in the proposal. Submittals received after 10:00 am local time on November 12,2020 will be <br />disregarded. Kittitas County encourages disadvantaged, minority and women owned consultant firms to respond. The <br />WSDOT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program established a 4%omandatory UDBE goal for consultants on this <br />project. <br />The County reseryes the right to retain the services ofthe successful firm for any subsequent phases (such as right ofway or <br />construction) associated with this project. The County reseryes the right to reject any and all submittals. <br />SELECTION PROCESS AND PROPOSED SCHEDULE: <br />Kiftitas County's selection will be based on review of submiftals in the following manner: <br />1. The firm's or team's qualificadons, experience and ability performing the requested work (30 points); <br />2. Demonstrated experience with similar projects in the past five years (50 points); <br />3. Demonstrated experience with similar environmental permitting in the past five years (30 points); <br />4. Experience working in Kittitas County in the past five years (20 points); <br />5. Demonstrated ability keeping projects on time and withinbudget (20 points); <br />6.
