Kittitas County <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br />Agenda Date: <br />October 6, 2020 <br /> <br />Action Requested: <br />Request the Board approve the Resolution Authorizing the Amendment of an Interagency Agreement with <br />Washington State Department of Commerce for Coronavirus Relief Fund for Local Governments (CARES funds) <br /> <br /> <br />Background: <br />On May 27, 2020 the Board of County Commissioners signed the agreement #20-6541C-019 with Washington <br />State Department of Commerce for Coronavirus Relief for Local Governments (CARES) in the amount of <br />$2,500,850, with a contract period March 1, 2020 through October 31, 2020. Washington State Department of <br />Commerce announced the Governor was releasing additional CARES funding and Kittitas County is receiving an <br />additional $909,400 and extending the end date to November 30, 2020. The guidelines on spending the CARES <br />funding has not changed. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Recommend the Board approve Resolution Authorizing the Amendment of an Interagency Agreement with Washington <br />State Department of Commerce for Coronavirus Relief Fund for Local Governments. <br /> <br />Handling <br />Judy will distribute for signatures <br /> <br />Lead Staff <br />Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager <br />
