Kittitas County <br />Coroner <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />9/1/2020 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request to Approve a service agreement between the Kittitas County Coroner’s Office and Steward & <br />Williams Funeral Home and Crematory for rotational morgue services. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On August 1st, 2020 two funeral homes began operating in Kittitas County, Johnston & Williams and <br />Brookside. Prior to August 1st only one funeral home was available to be used by the Kittitas County <br />Coroner’s Office for morgue services. Today the Kittitas County Coroner’s office wishes to use both funeral <br />homes on a rotational basis and has created a service agreement which establishes a clear scope of work, a <br />compensation schedule, and requires proof of insurance from each funeral home. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />The Prosecutors office has reviewed.
