KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: August 4, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve a Professional Services Agreement for <br />electromagnetic front door locks for the jail public entry. <br />BACKGROUND: Currently the public entry doors from 6th Avenue are unlocked 24/7 <br />allowing uncontrolled access to the jail lobby. The project is to include labor, materials, <br />programming, and testing of (2) electromagnetic door locks which can be monitored and <br />operated from the control room. The project shall be funded by revenues generated by <br />the Inmate Telephone Service in accordance with Kittitas County Board of <br />Commissioners Resolution No. 91-109 and 96-146 which was set up to fund capital <br />improvements to the Public Safety Building. <br />INTERACTION: This Proposal was reviewed and approved by the Kittitas County <br />Prosecutor's Office. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to approve a Professional Services Agreement for <br />electromagnetic front door locks for the jail public entry. <br />HANDLING: Please return 1 signed original to KCSO. <br />LEAD STAFF: Commander Steve Panattoni <br />
