KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE AND MAINTENANCE MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />TUESDAY 1 2:00 PM I June 9, 2020 <br />Board members present via Webex: Brett Wachsmith, Chairman, Laura Osiadacz, Vice - <br />Chairman and Commissioner Cory Wright <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz (via Webex) Patti Johnson and Lisa Lawrence and one member of the <br />public. <br />Meeting called to order at 2:00 p.m. <br />Solid Waste Updates: Patti informed the Board that customer numbers are up, but tonnages are <br />still down. Patti informed the Board that she applied for a Department of Ecology Grant for <br />Outreach and Education that would allow us to develop materials for School online. <br />Request Board Approval for Chair's Signature on Change Order for Jacobs Engineering: <br />Patti informed the Board this provides engineering to get the new Transfer Station Project shovel <br />ready as discussed last month. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved for approval, Commissioner Wright seconded the motion. <br />Motion passed 3-0. <br />Request Board Approval and Signature on PSA with Catlin Electric for Elections Room: <br />Patti informed the Board that this was funded through Cares for election security. Commissioner <br />Osiadacz moved to approve, Commissioner Wright seconded the motion passed 3-0. <br />Request Board Approval for Chairs signature on JARPA: Patti informed the Board that this <br />permit is required for the new Transfer Station location and requested Commissioner Osiadacz <br />signature for consistency on the owner of the property. Commissioner Wachsmith moved to <br />approve Vice Chairs signature. Commissioner Wright seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. <br />Discussion was held on going around the classified wetland in the Southwest'/4 and moving the <br />ditch. <br />Project Updates: Patti informed the Board of the purchase of another trailer at Shady Brook to <br />get on the demo list and that she is waiting to hear on the Fair to know whether to go out to bid <br />immediately or wait until after Fair. <br />Maintenance Updates: Patti gave the Board an update on the Elections room demo and that she <br />is getting bids on the electrical, carpet, tile and HVAC. Patti informed the Board that she is down <br />employees and waiting on results on another employee and may have to look at adjusting <br />schedules. <br />2020-06-09 MINUTES <br />
