BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STAf,E OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTTON No. 2o2o --LXx <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE LOCAL AGENCY <br />FEDERAL AID PROJECT PROSPECTUS FOR THE VANTAGE HIGHWAY <br />PROJECT' CRP 298-19 <br />WHEREAS: Deterioratingpavement during the20l9l2A winter along Bullfrog Road <br />resulted in a temporary speed reduction mitigating against increasing <br />safety concerns for travels (Resolution 2020-001); and <br />WHEREAS: The Bullfrog Road Project proposed using Federal Funds (Surface <br />Transportation Block Grant and Highway Infrastructure Funding) to repair <br />the damaged and deteriorating portions of Bullfrog Road; and <br />WHEREAS: This project will remove asphalt in the damaged locations and replace it <br />with new hot mix asphalt and install new roadway striping on the entire <br />length of Bullfrog Road; and <br />WHEREAS: In preparation to advertise the project for construction in July of 2020 <br />Public Works is requesting the Washington State Department of <br />Transportation to release the Federal Funds for construction; and <br />WHEREAS: A Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus must be executed by the <br />Chair acknowledging the project has been reviewed and is consistent with <br />the agency's comprehensive plan for community development; and <br />NOW, TIIEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, does hereby approve the Chair's signature <br />on the Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus for the Bullfrog Road <br />Project, CRP 300-20.
