10/15/2018 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 9:40 A.M. OCTOBER 15, 2018 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie <br />O’Brien & Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Lisa Young, HR <br />Director/Interim KVEC Director. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD HUMAN RESOURCES <br /> <br />Lisa Young, HR Director/Interim KVEC Director stated that <br />Commissioner O’Brien asked her to report on the Prosecutors review <br />of allowing for retroactive stipend. She stated that Commissioner <br />O’Brien had asked for a PAF to be done allowing a stipend effective <br />June of 2018 of a $1,000.00 per month for the Director of Public <br />Works Mark Cook for filling in as the County Engineer until the <br />position is filled. She found out that it was not legal. <br /> <br />The Board discussed their feelings on how deserving Director Cook is <br />of the stipend, however if it’s not allowed to do it retroactively <br />then they can only proceed from present going forward. Ms. Young <br />presented the Board with some options going forward and the Board <br />decided to move forward with a “Project Manager” stipend until the <br />project is complete & they fill the Airport Manager position. <br /> <br />The Board directed Ms. Young to bring forward a PAF corrected for <br />the 10/22/18 Office Admin Meeting reflecting a $500.00 per month <br />Project Manager stipend for Mark Cook. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:50 a.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />
