2018-10-08 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 10:30 A.M. OCTOBER 8, 2018 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie <br />O’Brien; and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Brett Wachsmith, Kittitas County Treasurer; Judy Pless, <br />Kittitas County Budget and Financial Manager; Jerry Pettit, Kittitas <br />County Auditor; Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) members <br />present: Roylene Crawford, and Brian Maglietti; and one member of <br />the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING LODGING TAX CAPITAL PROJECTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 10:35 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to discuss <br />the Lodging Tax Capital Projects Grant Applications. <br /> <br />There was discussion on: yearly lodging tax fund allocations; how <br />much to obligate in bond/debt services; bond issues and timing; debt <br />service for the Armory until 2025; operational funding; large-scale <br />capital project grant requests; interest rates; wording to use in <br />Agreements; and average yearly lodging tax collections. <br /> <br />Auditor Jerry Pettit suggested researching bonding. Treasurer Brett <br />Wachsmith said the larger the bond, the lower interest rate you <br />would get. Commissioner Wright said they needed more information <br />before making any decisions. LTAC member Roylene Crawford said this <br />meeting has been educational and helpful, and suggested having an <br />Auditor’s representative attend the LTAC meetings to discuss lodging <br />tax financial information. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:43 a.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />LTAC CLERK KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Debbie Myers Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />
