7/09/2018 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 9:40 A.M. JULY 9, 2018 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie <br />O’Brien & Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Judy Pless, <br />Budget & Finance Manager; Tim Egan, Assistant Maintenance <br />Director/Co-Interim Event Center Director; Lisa Young, HR <br />Director/Co-Interim Event Center Director. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD AUDITOR <br /> <br />Meeting began at 9:46 a.m. Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager <br />stated that in line with the Boards direction at the Budget Retreat <br />to make investments in the Event Center this discussion would just <br />be a jump start on that. She explained after discussion with the Co- <br />Interim Event Center Directors, replacing locks at the Event Center <br />for spaces that can be rented would cost approximately $20,000.00, <br />and the funds are available. She stated that they should consider <br />doing this as soon as possible and amending the 2018 budget. <br /> <br />Tim Egan, Assistant Maintenance Director/Co-Interim Event Center <br />Director asked the Board to consider allowing him to replace <br />padlocks to keep them permanently in place with the ability to <br />change codes as needed or new renters take over the use of the <br />facility. <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien moved to authorize Maintenance to install new <br />locks at the Event Center and authorize up to $25,000.00 to use <br />towards the project. Commissioner Wright seconded.
